Authorization for Bookstore Credit

Please complete this form to request that HU apply available credit on your student account to the purchase of books and goods at the HU bookstore. It is important that you read and understand the following:

  • A credit is an overpayment that HU owes to you and is identified as a negative balance due on your billing statement. You are not required to use this credit at the HU bookstore and may request a refund of this money from this link to use for purchase of supplies and books at vendors outside of the HU Bookstore.
  • If any changes occur that reduce the credit available to you, or if your credit balance does not cover the total cost of charges made at the HU bookstore, you will have a hold placed on your student account that must be paid in full before you can register for future semesters at HU.
  • This form must be completed for each semester in which you plan to use your credit to cover bookstore costs at HU. You will not be allowed to charge bookstore costs to your student account unless this form is completed.
  • To determine your current credit balance available, please review your billing statement on the portal by following the instructions below. Remember that a negative balance means that a credit is available and may be used for bookstore charges. A positive balance means that you still owe HU funds and no credit is available to cover bookstore charges.
    • Log into the portal. If you do not know your login information, view the first FAQ question for instructions.
    • Select ‘Students’ tab at the top. Then click on Financial Records on the left of the page.
    • Under My Account Info (on the right), select Course and Fee Statement, then select the current semester from the drop down list.
    • Click generate my course and fee statement button on the right. Then select View My Course and Fee Statement.

You will be notified if you are denied or approved for bookstore charging by e-mail. You can reach out to the Student Account Team at studentaccountteam@huntington.edu with any questions. You cannot charge books to your student account until you receive an approval notice.
